ABOUT NELLIA

I am honored to be a part of the Yoga community in Corpus Christi. My discovery of the Yogic path began with a Hatha yoga class at 24-hour Fitness in San Diego, CA in 2003. A combination of the “awkward” downward facing dog, smell of rubber mats, and gentle mantra music in the background triggered in me a state of temporary peace and sanity that I had never experienced before. And I was in. Through my twenty-some years of practice, I have had the privilege of exploring Hatha, Bikram, Vinyasa flow, Restorative, Yin, Ashtanga, and more. The later, Ashtanga is at the heart of my daily practice and methodology of teaching.

I bow to the lotus feet of the teachers who brought us the Eight-Limbed Path–a path beyond Asana and of which I love teaching others the lesser-known facets. My hope in my personal practice and teaching is to share this Path with all.

As a yoga educator, I aim to ignite the process of self-transformation in my students by guiding breath discovery through movement. I hope to shed some light on the “mystery” of the postures, the alignment, and how it connects to our breath. My intention is to help you maintain your practice forever so it may relieve your daily stress and help with connecting back to yourself every time, on and off the mat.

It is my deepest honor to be here and to share this incredible transformative practice along with so many great teachers. As my teachers say; “Practice and All is Coming”… “Love and All is coming”.
